Jessica Zubiate-Beauchamp

Jessica Zubiate-Beauchamp graduated magna cum laude from California State University Northridge, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy.  Jessica then attended Pepperdine Law School, where she was a research assistant to Professor Naomi Goodno, and participated in both the Academic Success Mentor program and the Child Adoption program.  She graduated cum laude from Pepperdine with her Juris Doctor Degree.  After law school, she served for two years as judicial clerk to the Honorable Chief Justice Ronald T.Y. Moon of the Hawaii Supreme Court.  After returning from Hawaii in 2011, Jessica joined the Law Office of Karen Zubiate-Beauchamp, where she began participating in all stages of civil litigation in a variety of areas including trusts and estates, contracts, trade secrets, unfair business practices, and real property. Jessica also contributed her knowledge on copyright and trademarks to the transactional area of the practice. On January 1, 2017, Jessica transitioned to becoming a partner of Zubiate Beauchamp, PC, where she continues serving clients in a variety of legal areas. Jessica is licensed to practice law in all state courts in California, the United States District Court, and all state courts in Hawaii.

Lauren Cosgrove graduated from the University of California Riverside, with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Lauren then attended the University of La Verne College of Law where she worked as a teaching assistant for the Dean Emeritus. Lauren went on to work as a Law Clerk for the Disability Rights Legal Center and with the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office. While attending the University of La Verne College of Law, Lauren was awarded with the CALI award for having the highest grade earned in several courses: Wills and Trusts, Evidence, and Videogame Law. She also earned Dean’s List recognition over the course of two years for outstanding scholastic performance. Lauren volunteered as a junior advisor with Sigma Kappa sorority at the University of California, Riverside, where she is now a mentor to collegiate women. She provides guidance and encouragement to those considering a future in law. Lauren is licensed to practice law in the state of California.

John C. Jocelyn

John C. Jocelyn was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. After graduating from UC Irvine, John enlisted in the United States Army, where he distinguished himself as a human intelligence non-commissioned officer attached to the U.S. Army Special Forces in Afghanistan, earning an Army Commendation Medal and Combat Action Badge for his contributions to ongoing operations. Upon completing his term of enlistment, he became a professor at the U.S. Army Intelligence Center, training new soldiers in human intelligence operations, interrogation, and intelligence source operations.
While in Afghanistan, John worked closely with a senior JAG officer who saw potential and encouraged him to pursue the law as a career. John received a full scholarship to attend Pepperdine University Law School, where he concurrently earned a Juris Doctor degree and a master’s degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
John is driven by a personal sense of duty to serve others, which informs his work as an attorney. At Zubiate Beauchamp, PC, John has been able to focus on building relationships with each and every client, to provide the legal solutions that best fits their needs. Outside of work, John spends time with his family and enjoys wrenching on motorcycles.
